Key Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision:
- Oversee and manage the construction activities on-site, ensuring work is done according to plans, specifications, and approved schedules.
- Supervise construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct inspections of materials and workmanship on-site to ensure high-quality standards.
- Verify that construction activities align with the approved engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintain quality assurance practices and address any issues that arise on-site.
- Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and construction managers to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
- Ensure that materials, equipment, and labor are available as needed for the timely completion of tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to keep the project on track.
- Site Safety Management:
- Ensure that workers adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing proper protective equipment.
- Problem Solving:
- Address any issues or challenges that arise on-site, including technical, logistical, or operational problems.
- Collaborate with the design team to resolve any discrepancies between design plans and site conditions.
- Surveying and Site Layout:
- Conduct surveys and measurements to ensure that the site is prepared correctly for construction.
- Assist in the layout of structures and ensure the proper positioning of buildings, roads, and other infrastructure elements.
- Documentation:
- Prepare labor daily report and activitis assignments
- Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including daily reports, inspection logs, and material certifications.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is filed for compliance purposes and future reference.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Civil Engineer, with at least a 2 years in a construction site management role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantity surveying construction methods, materials, and engineering designs. Knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project).
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, especially when unexpected challenges arise.
- Leadership: Capability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks at once, ensuring timely and quality delivery of work.
Working Conditions:
- Site-based, often in construction zones which may be noisy and physically demanding.
- May involve working in various weather conditions, depending on the project location.
