Site Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision:
• Oversee and manage the construction activities on-site, ensuring work is done according to plans, specifications, and approved schedules.
• Supervise construction workers, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct inspections of materials and workmanship on-site to ensure high-quality standards.
• Verify that construction activities align with the approved engineering drawings and specifications.
• Maintain quality assurance practices and address any issues that arise on-site.
• Project Coordination:
• Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and construction managers to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
• Ensure that materials, equipment, and labor are available as needed for the timely completion of tasks.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to keep the project on track.
• Site Safety Management:
• Ensure that workers adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing proper protective equipment.
• Problem Solving:
• Address any issues or challenges that arise on-site, including technical, logistical, or operational problems.
• Collaborate with the design team to resolve any discrepancies between design plans and site conditions.
• Surveying and Site Layout:
• Conduct surveys and measurements to ensure that the site is prepared correctly for construction.
• Assist in the layout of structures and ensure the proper positioning of buildings, roads, and other infrastructure elements.
• Documentation:
• Prepare labor daily report and activitis assignments
• Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including daily reports, inspection logs, and material certifications.
• Ensure that all necessary documentation is filed for compliance purposes and future reference.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Civil Engineer, with at least a 2 years in a construction site management role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantity surveying construction methods, materials, and engineering designs. Knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project).
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, especially when unexpected challenges arise.
• Leadership: Capability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks at once, ensuring timely and quality delivery of work.

Working Conditions:

• Site-based, often in construction zones which may be noisy and physically demanding.
• May involve working in various weather conditions, depending on the project location.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
