Job Title: Site Civil Engineer – MIMA Construction (Karachi)

Position Summary: We are seeking a Site-based Civil Engineer to join our on-site team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with daily supervision and coordination of construction activities, reporting, and quality control. You will work under senior engineers to ensure that on-site work aligns with design plans and safety standards.

Key tasks include monitoring progress, conducting inspections, and keeping detailed site records. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent civil engineering graduate eager to gain practical field experience; no prior project-specific experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise On-Site Activities: Oversee and manage construction operations at the site, ensuring that work complies with engineering specifications, design drawings, and safety regulations.
• Site Inspections & Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to check work quality and progress. Identify any issues or deviations and coordinate with the team to implement corrective actions.
• Materials & Logistics: Organize and track construction materials, equipment and tools on-site. Ensure that work areas are kept safe and clean, and that materials meet project requirements.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation – including daily site reports, progress logs, and change orders – and compile data on work completed and outstanding tasks. You will update supervisors on milestones, potential delays, and safety compliance.
• Coordination & Communication: Liaise with foremen, subcontractors and engineers to schedule tasks and resolve field issues. You will help draw up work schedules and communicate any adjustments to the team.
• Technical Support: Provide basic technical advice on construction methods and troubleshoot minor on-site problems as they arise. Participate in quality assurance by inspecting materials and workmanship, offering feedback to improve the process.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. (Fresh graduates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.)
• Skills: Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions is essential. A proactive, hands-on attitude and a willingness to learn on the job are important.
• Technical Familiarity: Basic understanding of civil engineering fundamentals and construction processes is preferred. Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, MS Office) is a plus but not required – training will be provided.
• Other: Willingness to work on construction sites and travel within Karachi as needed. Adherence to safety protocols and attention to detail are expected at all times.

Fresh civil engineering graduates with strong academic records and a keen interest in practical construction work are especially welcome. No prior work experience or specific project background is necessary; on-the-job learning will be provided.
