Role Purpose The Civil Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at the construction site, ensuring that projects are executed according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, safety guidelines, and timelines. The role acts as a vital link between the technical office, contractors, consultants, and site workforce. Key Accountabilities Supervise and monitor civil works at the project site including excavation, foundation, concrete, formwork, and finishing works. Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedule. Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and site staff to ensure smooth progress of activities. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of construction materials and workmanship. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and submit them to the Senior/Team Leader Engineer. Assist in resolving technical issues and propose site-based solutions where necessary. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on-site. Verify quantities and assist in preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and site measurements. Review and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings and ensure they are up to date. Monitor site logistics, equipment, and manpower availability and coordinate accordingly. Participate in site meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. Maintain accurate site records including material deliveries, work progress, and inspection logs. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Bachelor s degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an accredited university. Minimum 1 year of experience in civil site engineering within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Proficient in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office. Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with site safety practices and quality standards.
