Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily construction activities of transmission line projects.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, designs, and project specifications.
• Monitor progress to ensure timely execution and completion of milestones.
• Provide technical guidance on the construction, erection, stringing, and testing of transmission lines.
• Ensure all materials and equipment meet the specified technical requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on-site in coordination with the project management team.
• Liaise with design teams, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
• Maintain close communication with the Project Manager, reporting on progress, challenges, and resource needs.
• Coordinate with the safety and quality teams to ensure adherence to all standards and regulations.
• Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain site logs, documentation, and reports related to the construction activities.
• Ensure that the site is kept in a safe, organized, and compliant manner.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental policies on-site.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Promote a culture of safety among the workforce.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met in all aspects of the construction process.
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of transmission lines, ensuring functionality and compliance with design standards.
• Assist in managing the site budget, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints.
• Review and verify invoices for materials, labor, and equipment on-site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in the construction and management of transmission line projects.
• Strong understanding of transmission line design, construction practices, and erection methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently and relocate for the duration of projects.
