Site Engineer

SIMCO Construction is seeking an experienced Site Engineer – Finishing Works to oversee and manage all finishing activities on site. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality execution of architectural and finishing works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage finishing works including plastering, tiling, painting, gypsum, flooring, joinery, and façade works
  • Ensure finishing works are executed as per approved drawings, material submittals, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow
  • Monitor workmanship quality and ensure timely completion of finishing activities
  • Conduct inspections and resolve site issues related to finishes
  • Prepare daily progress reports and coordinate with the project manager
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications
  • Verify materials delivered to site and ensure proper storage and usage
  • Assist in snagging, de-snagging, and project handover

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer with strong experience in finishing works
  • Excellent knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and finishing details
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
  • Familiarity with local building codes and quality standards
  • Immediate availability is a plus
