Site Engineer

The Role

• Supervise and manage daily construction activities at the project site. • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. • Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen, and construction workers to ensure smooth workflow. • Check and review shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions before implementation. • Conduct site inspections and monitor the quality of work performed. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Measure completed work and assist in preparing progress reports and work updates. • Coordinate with consultants and project engineers for inspections and approvals. • Identify and resolve technical issues at the construction site. • Maintain site records including daily reports, site instructions, and material usage. • Monitor site resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials. • Assist in ensuring project milestones are achieved within the planned timeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field. • 3–5 years of experience in building construction projects. • Strong understanding of building construction methods and materials. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. • Good knowledge of site safety practices and quality control procedures. • Strong communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. • Experience working on residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects. • Knowledge of local construction regulations and authority requirements. • Familiarity with construction scheduling and reporting tools.
