Site Engineer (Civil)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer to oversee and manage construction site activities, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in civil construction works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily site operations and ensure work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, laborers, and subcontractors for timely project completion.
• Monitor progress, maintain daily work reports, and update project timelines.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment at the site.
• Review and interpret civil drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
• Conduct quality checks on materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage site inspections, resolve technical issues, and liaise with project engineers and consultants.
• Maintain site safety, housekeeping, and adherence to environmental regulations.
• Support in preparing site measurement sheets and assisting in billing and documentation work.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in building, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials, and methods.
• Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software (preferred).
• Excellent communication (Tamil mandatory) and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

• Site-based role; frequent field supervision required.
• May require extended working hours depending on project deadlines.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience and performance).
