Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution & Site Management:
- Oversee the installation of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, VRVs, and related
components.
- Manage cleanroom and biosafety lab construction projects, ensuring high standards of
quality and compliance.
- Review and implement approved HVAC shop drawings, MEP coordination drawings,
and project specifications.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure clear site access and readiness for HVAC
activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and site safety
orientation for all workers.
2. Material & Resource Management:
- Ensure availability of approved HVAC materials, ducting, piping, accessories, and tools
for smooth execution.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of
materials to the site.
- Verify the readiness of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and scaffolding required for
installation activities.
3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance:
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor adherence to approved drawings and
quality standards.
- Ensure all activities comply with company safety policies and local safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control (QC) team for surveillance inspections before
starting key HVAC activities.
4. Testing, Commissioning & Documentation:
- Prepare documents for testing and commissioning, such as duct leakage tests and
hydrostatic tests for chilled water systems.
- Assist the commissioning team during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and TAB
(Testing, Adjusting & Balancing) stages.
- Maintain detailed project records, including inspection reports, test results, and
compliance documents.
5. Project Coordination & Reporting:
- Attend weekly project meetings with project managers, QC supervisors, and
stakeholders to discuss progress and challenges.
- Provide daily site progress reports to project engineers or managers, highlighting
achievements and pending tasks.
- Resolve technical and operational issues at the site promptly.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Manage turnkey cleanroom and biosafety lab projects independently, from inception to
completion.
- Coordinate with clients and project teams for design development and project
execution.
- Visit sites regularly for surveying, inspections, and progress monitoring.
- Monitor project budgets, identify cost overruns, and report potential issues to the
project manager.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Maintain project files, technical documentation, and records for audits and reviews.
Design & Technical Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems, including heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation, and
pressurization calculations.
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimations, and tender documents.
- Review and select HVAC equipment, such as chillers, pumps, VRVs, FCUs, AHUs, and
extract fans.
- Design air distribution systems, including ducting layouts, diffuser selection, and fire
damper placements.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and coordinate with internal teams for project
