Site Junior Civil / Electrical Engineer

Job Title : Site Junior Civil / Electrical Engineer (Karachi)

Location: Site-based — Karachi, Pakistan
Employment type: Full-time (on-site)
Report to: Site MEP / Civil Engineer or Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist senior site engineers in execution of civil and electrical works according to drawings and specifications.
• Read, interpret and work from construction drawings, single-line diagrams and shop drawings.
• Carry out site measurements, take-offs and basic quantity checks.
• Support installation, wiring, earthing and testing activities under supervision (electrical) and basic civil activities such as layout, formwork checks and concrete inspection (civil).
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress updates, material inspection records and handover checklists.
• Assist with quality checks, testing (continuity, insulation, basic concrete tests where applicable) and raising NCRs / punch lists.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure materials and workmanship meet specifications.
• Help monitor site health & safety practices and report unsafe conditions; follow permit-to-work procedures.
• Support as-built documentation, marked-up drawings and submission of field returnables.
• Attend site coordination meetings and follow up on assigned action items.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from NED University, Karachi (mandatory). Only graduates of NED University will be considered. Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required — internships or practical training are a plus. Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of civil engineering concepts (structural elements, concrete and steel reinforcement, surveying) and electrical engineering fundamentals (wiring, circuits, panels, earthing). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); basic familiarity with AutoCAD is desirable.
• Good communication skills in English and basic English reading/writing for drawings and reports.
