The Site Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the execution of all site work and control of all staff members on site.

Duties & Responsibilities

Must have prior experience serving as an approved Site Engineer for Preventive Maintenance Contracts under Primary Substation Maintenance Department (PSMD).

Prior approval from Primary Substation Maintenance Department (PSMD) as Site Engineer for Preventive Maintenance Contracts is mandatory.

Responsible for executing preventive maintenance activities of entire 400/300/132 kV substations, including adherence to site safety procedures, acting as Permit Holder, and leading maintenance works for power transformers, MV switchgear (SGR), and associated auxiliary systems.

Investigate tripping, faults and abnormal conditions.

Assist in Switching operations and System Restoration. Coordinate with Client and ensure load management.

Maintain maintenance records, test reports and logbooks. Prepare incident reports, fault reports and technical analysis. Update drawings and equipment history records.

Monitor the status of critical spares and consumables, coordinate for availability of maintenance materials and ensure the availability of required tools and testing equipment.

Hands-on experience in the maintenance of MV switchgear, including GCB, VCB, OCB, and SF circuit breakers.

Responsible for preparing and submitting weekly progress reports to the Project Manager, outlining the status of ongoing activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
-
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Experience
-
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the maintenance of EHV, HV, and LV equipment within Ministry of Electricity and Water (Kuwait) substations.

Must have prior experience serving as an approved Site Engineer for Preventive Maintenance Contracts under Power Stations Maintenance Department.
Certifications
Safety Certification: Completed a minimum of two-week certified electrical safety training program from a recognized institute.
