The Site Nurse is responsible for providing on-site medical care, emergency response, and occupational health support to all employees at the construction site. The role ensures compliance with Qatar health and safety regulations and supports the overall well-being of workers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Medical Care & Emergency Response
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical treatment to injured or ill employees on-site.
- Assess patient conditions and determine the appropriate level of care, including referrals to clinics or hospitals.
- Maintain readiness for medical emergencies in accordance with company and Qatar labor regulations.
2. Health Surveillance & Occupational Health
- Conduct routine health checks and monitor workers with known medical conditions.
- Manage records of medical examinations and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist in implementing health surveillance programs, including vaccination campaigns and periodic medical tests.
3. Daily Site Medical Operations
- Maintain the site clinic, medical supplies, first aid kits, and equipment.
- Ensure medicine storage, expiry monitoring, and inventory control.
- Provide daily health consultations for employees and address general health concerns.
4. HSE Support
- Support the HSE team in health-related risk assessments.
- Participate in toolbox talks and awareness sessions related to health and hygiene.
- Report all medical incidents, near-misses, and injuries to the HSE Manager.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical reports, incident logs, and treatment records.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) requirements.
- Assist in preparing health-related reports for internal and external audits.
Qualification & Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed for Qatar license (QCHP).
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 4–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in construction, industrial, or remote-site environments.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid / CPR certification.
- Good knowledge of workplace health, occupational safety, and emergency medical procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
