Position Summary
GMG EnviroSafe provides EPA and OSHA compliance expertise and personal support to multiple industries across the country. When working for GMG EnviroSafe as a Site Safety Consultant you will provide support to our Construction Clients to ensure safety, health standards and procedures are in compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements at various jobsite locations.
Essential Functions
· Promote a positive and collaborative safety culture on each project
· Conduct documented jobsite safety inspections
· Complete a Daily Log of activities
· Administer site specific orientations
· Perform equipment inspections
· Review contractor daily pre-task safety analysis
· Review and promote site-specific safety initiatives
· Ensure timely reporting of incidents
· Coach workers on safe work behaviors
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned on a per project basis
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent preferred
· 2+ years of safety experience or combination of education and years of experience in building construction, with a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques
· Minimum of 2+ years of field experience
· Bilingual a plus
· OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation
· OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus
· BCSP designations (CSP, ASP, CHST, SMP) a plus
· Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb stairs, scaffolds, and ladders. Ability to walk and work on rough terrain and areas under construction. Able to work at heights and access/inspect scaffolding and roof areas
· Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
· Able to tolerate moderate to very loud noise levels
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
· Ability to work from home: functional computer, high-speed internet connection, and autonomous time management
· Strong communication skills and detail orientated
· Excellent time-management and organizational skills
· Valid driver’s license in the state of residence
Compensation & Benefits
· Salary Range: $74,000 -$104,000 per year
· Mobilization and per diem are available
· Time and a half for Overtime, weekends and holidays
