Site in Charge/Site Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage warehouse construction projects from planning to handover.
- Supervise civil works including foundations, flooring (industrial floors), drainage, external works, and utility infrastructure.
- Oversee structural steel fabrication and erection works as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Review and coordinate structural drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, and method statements.
- Ensure proper execution of steel structures such as PEB buildings, sheds, mezzanine floors, and loading platforms.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and suppliers.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved within budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Verify subcontractor measurements and bills.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and HSE policies.
- Identify and resolve technical issues at site efficiently.
- Develop detailed project execution plans, resource allocation plans, and manpower schedules.
- Conduct site feasibility studies and pre-construction site assessments.
- Review soil investigation reports and coordinate foundation design requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures and maintain quality documentation.
- Approve material submittals and coordinate procurement of construction materials.
- Monitor fabrication yard activities and ensure timely delivery of structural components to site.
- Supervise bolt tightening, welding inspections, alignment, and structural stability checks during erection.
- Coordinate lifting plans and crane activities for steel structure installation.
- Ensure proper curing, finishing, and testing of concrete works including cube tests and floor flatness tests.
- Monitor warehouse-specific elements such as dock levellers, loading ramps, fire-rated walls, and insulation systems.
- Coordinate MEP integration works related to warehouse projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans for critical activities.
- Lead project meetings with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
- Prepare variation claims and handle change management processes.
- Ensure as-built drawings and project documentation are properly maintained.
- Oversee project handover procedures including snag list clearance and final inspections.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and site supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements.
