IMMEDIATE HIRE: Site Technician - Solar Tracker Assembly (KSA)

SME Electromechanical is urgently hiring dedicated Site Technicians for a critical short-term contract (2-3 months) on a solar PV project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This role is focused on the hands-on mechanical assembly and installation of solar tracking structures.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (Strictly Non-Negotiable)

• KSA Iqama: You MUST possess a valid and transferable Iqama and be currently residing in KSA.
• Salary Cap: Maximum monthly salary is SAR 3,060 - SAR 3,500. You must be comfortable with this rate.
• Availability: Must be able to join the project site immediately.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of practical experience in mechanical assembly, structural fitting, and bolting/tightening.

Your Focus: Hands-on Mechanical Assembly & Quality

This is a high-volume, hands-on technical role supporting the mechanical installation crew. Formal degrees (Bachelor's) are not required; practical experience is the priority.

• Mechanical Assembly: Directly perform the fit-up and assembly of all solar tracker components, including posts, purlins, linkages, and drive systems, following assembly diagrams.
• Torquing & Bolting: Execute high-volume bolting and tightening tasks using manual and power tools, ensuring all connections meet specified torque requirements.
• Alignment Support: Assist the Supervisor in structural alignment checks and cross-referencing to ensure the mechanical structures are plumb, level, and square.
• Material Handling: Safely handle, identify, and prepare mechanical components for installation.
• Safety & Rigging: Adhere strictly to rigging, lifting, and work-at-height safety procedures related to structural installation.

Candidate Profile (What We Look For)

• Technical Experience: 2+ years of direct, hands-on experience in the mechanical installation of steel structures or industrial equipment assembly. Previous experience supporting or working on a solar farm is highly valued.
• Skills: Proficiency in using spanners, torque wrenches, impact guns, measuring tapes, and levels. Ability to read basic mechanical drawings is a plus.
• Work Ethic: Physically fit, highly reliable, and willing to work long, demanding hours in a site environment.
