Duties

• Assist with excavation activities using heavy equipment and hand tools to prepare sites for construction or landscaping projects.
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete to exact specifications, ensuring smooth surfaces and structural integrity.
• Install rebar and metal reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics for concrete structures.
• Operate power tools such as concrete mixers, saws, drills, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise masonry, framing, or hardscape layouts.
• Perform masonry tasks including stucco application, tile laying, plastering, and metal stud framing for various structures.
• Support carpentry work such as trim carpentry, framing, roofing support, and restoration projects.
• Handle heavy lifting of materials like concrete blocks, pavers, stonework, or lumber to maintain project momentum.
• Follow safety protocols on-site; conduct inspections of tools and equipment; ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation.
• Proven experience in construction estimating and reading blueprints or schematics accurately.
• Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques, and masonry work.
• Proficient with hand tools (hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) used in construction environments.
• Knowledge of hardscape installation including pavers, retaining walls, patios, and walkways.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators or loaders safely on construction sites.
• Familiarity with concrete pumping systems and concrete mixer operation for large-scale projects.
• Experience in renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, flooring installation or tile laying.
• Capable of reading blueprints and schematics; understanding technical drawings for precise execution.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting materials or equipment when necessary. Pay: $18.25 - $26.94 per hour
