Skilled ELV/PV Technician

SME Electromechanical is seeking a skilled ELV/Solar PV Technician for immediate deployment on our ground-mounted solar PV project. This role is a great opportunity for an electrically inclined individual to expand their skills into civil foundation work.

The Role

You will primarily focus on the low voltage electrical components of the solar array while being trained and utilized to assist with essential civil foundation and alignment work for the mounting structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform low-voltage electrical work, including cable termination (DC and communication cables), installing inverters, optimizers, and monitoring equipment on the PV site.
• Read and interpret electrical single- line diagrams (SLDs) and PV layout drawings.
• Willingness to learn and execute fundamental civil tasks on-site, including:
• Assisting the team with concrete mixing and pouring for PV pedestals.
• Learning and assisting with basic site alignment and setting-out for mounting structures.
• Supporting ground preparation and drilling/piling activities.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven experience as an Electrician, ELV Technician (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Data), or a Solar PV Installer.
• Attitude: Must be keen to learn, physically fit, and adaptable to new, non-electrical duties.
• UAE Status: Must be currently available in the UAE.
• Language: Fluency in Hindi or Urdu is strongly preferred.
• Remuneration: AED 2,000 – 2,300 per month (all-inclusive site salary).
• Accommodation and transportation are provided by the company as per SME Electromechanical policy.
