Operational Technology (OT) Lead Consultant
As an Operational Technology (OT) Lead Consultant at JLL, you will ensure coherence between master planning intent and operational technology reality. You will provide deep technical assurance across infrastructure, building systems, and OT layers within applications, validating feasibility, integration integrity, and technical correctness across large-scale development programmes.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and validate OT system architectures across smart infrastructure, buildings, utilities, transport, and public realm technologies, ensuring compliance with masterplan capability commitments

Critically assess detailed design packages for Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA, IoT platforms, edge devices, network infrastructure, and control systems; identify integration challenges, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and operational risks

Align OT design decisions with IT enterprise architecture and master systems integrator frameworks; ensure interoperability across subsystems and platforms

Liaise effectively with construction delivery leads, design authorities, smart city governance teams, and integration partners to ensure technically sound and practically deliverable outcomes

Review and validate technical specifications, system requirements, and integration points to ensure they meet operational, safety, and performance standards

Provide technical due diligence on vendor proposals and technology selections

Identify and mitigate technical risks early in design and delivery phases

Your Skills and ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in OT systems design, implementation, or technical assurance roles within giga-projects, large-scale urban developments, or complex corporate portfolios

Deep technical knowledge of OT systems including BMS, SCADA, industrial control systems, IoT platforms, edge computing, and OT network architectures

Strong understanding of smart infrastructure domains: buildings, utilities, transport systems, and public realm technologies

Proven ability to evaluate system architectures for technical feasibility, integration integrity, and operational viability

Experience working across IT/OT convergence environments with understanding of enterprise architecture principles

Knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks for OT systems, cybersecurity (e.g., IEC 62443, ISA-95), and building systems

Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging construction delivery teams, design consultants, and technology vendors

Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with attention to technical detail

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical review reports and risk assessments

Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Computer, or related discipline), Computer Science, or related technical field

Professional certifications in OT systems, industrial automation, or building systems are highly desirable
