Smart City Solution Director

The Smart City Solution Director - Pre-Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the technical vision and pre-sales activities for innovative smart city solutions. You will work closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to design and present comprehensive smart city architectures that integrate IoT, data analytics, connectivity, security, and sustainable infrastructure. Your expertise will help position our organization as a leader in smart city initiatives, ensuring tailored solutions that address urban challenges and improve quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical pre-sales process for smart city projects, including solution design, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project teams to develop tailored smart city solutions aligned with client needs and strategic objectives.
  • Engage with municipal authorities, government agencies, and private sector stakeholders to understand their urban challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop compelling proposals, RFP responses, and technical documentation that showcase our smart city capabilities.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and contributing to strategic account planning.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and standards in IoT, big data, AI, connectivity, and urban infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the pre-sales team and support their development.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support project transition from pre-sales to delivery, ensuring solutions are feasible and aligned with client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.

Votre profil

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, consulting, or business development, preferably within smart city, IoT, or urban infrastructure sectors.
  • Deep understanding of smart city components, including IoT, data analytics, connectivity, security, and sustainable infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of leading complex technical proposals and solution design for government or municipal projects.
  • Strong business development skills, including opportunity identification, client engagement, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and funding mechanisms for smart city projects.
  • Relevant certifications in IoT, project management, or urban planning are advantageous.
