SME Account Manager – Employee Benefits, Corporate Solutions

About the company

Nexus Insurance Brokers is one of the UAE’s leading independent insurance brokers, with a strong regional presence and a reputation for professional advice, compliance excellence, and long-term client partnerships.

We are currently looking for an SME Account Manager to join our Dubai office, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients across multiple lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Portfolio Management

· Manage an assigned portfolio of SME clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all insurance-related matters

· Deliver end-to-end account servicing including renewals, mid-term adjustments, claims coordination, and policy administration

· Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client base

Stakeholder Management

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurers, clients, and internal support teams

· Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage enhancements on behalf of clients

· Coordinate with internal teams (placements, claims, operations, compliance) to ensure seamless client servicing

Advisory & Risk Support

· Understand client business operations and risk exposures to provide appropriate insurance solutions

· Support clients with policy interpretation, coverage reviews, and risk mitigation discussions

· Ensure advice and documentation comply with UAE insurance regulations and internal governance standards

Renewals & Retention

· Proactively manage renewal cycles, ensuring forcing dates are met

· Prepare renewal strategies, presentations, and comparisons for client discussions

· Maintain high retention levels through strong service delivery and relationship management

Requirements

· Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in SME insurance account management within the UAE market

· Strong knowledge of General Insurance products (Property, Liability, Motor, Medical preferred)

· Proven experience managing client portfolios and insurer relationships

· Familiarity with UAE insurance regulations and compliance requirements

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

· Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines

· ACII / CII qualifications or progress towards professional certifications is an advantage
