Position Title: SME - SAP and IMOS Implementation Support ( 2 years Contract )
Job Purpose:
The ERP Integration Consultant will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the end-to-end rollout of SAP, IMOS, and Orion systems across the organization alongside Finance. With a strong focus on SAP, the consultant will drive integration strategy, oversee functional alignment, and ensure that legacy systems such as Danaos are smoothly migrated and decommissioned through a structured cutover process. This role is responsible for coordinating with internal departments, external vendors, and project stakeholders to maintain execution timelines, support system readiness, and deliver a seamless transition to the new ERP landscape. The consultant will also manage ongoing system stability, track project progress, provide weekly updates, and support hyper care and post go live activities to ensure long term success.
Key Accountabilities
Description Performance Indicators / Key Expected
• Lead SAP centric integration strategy across IMOS and Orion •
• Facilitate between Finance, Commercial, OSMC, SCM, IT to resolve errors in the Live environment
• Review workflow of Commercial team in IMOS, ORION and SAP •
• Review workflow of Finance team in IMOS/ORION/SAP •
• Assist Finance in Monthly Closing in IMOS/SAP/ORION •
• Assist Finance in implementation of IFRS 16 Module in IMOS and SAP integration
• Create Financial Dashboard for Management with IMOS using Power BI
• Create customized reports from IMOS for Finance and Commercial use
• Create reconciliation reports between IMOS, SAP/ORION and Danaos and others systems where required
• Clean up of IMOS database and mater data since production
• Review SAP workflow alignment with legacy (Danaos) processes
• Drive resolution of SAP side API and data mapping issues
• Coordinate system integration testing across SAP/IMOS/Orion
• Own cutover plan across ERP systems (SAP driven)
• Monitor vendor activities and ensure SAP related milestone delivery
• Develop hypercare and post-go-live support plans
• Ensure all SOPs, test scripts, and process documents are in place
• Train end users on SAP integrated flows and collect feedback
• Maintain a central repository of SAP integration documents
• Review SAP workflow alignment with legacy (Danaos) processes
• Drive successful go-live for SAP and Orion systems
• Oversee Danaos system cutover and data migration
• Coordinate integration testing across SAP/IMOS/Orion
• Maintain full project execution timeline (pre and post go live)
• Attend ERP steering/project meetings, provide integration updates
• Provide weekly project updates to management
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Supply Chain, or Integration), PMP/PRINCE2, TOGAF, or Agile/Scrum are preferred.
• Additional certification in Integration Technologies (API Management, Data Migration Tools) is an advantage.
Minimum Experience:
• 10+ years of proven ERP implementation experience, with at least 6+ years leading SAP projects.
• Demonstrated success in multi-system integration projects involving SAP and third-party ERP solutions such as (IMOS, Orion).
• Experience in data migration and cutover planning from legacy ERP systems, example (Danaos) to modern ERP platforms.
• Strong track record in vendor coordination, cross-functional project leadership, and risk mitigation for large-scale ERP rollouts.
• Practical exposure to shipping, logistics, or maritime industry systems preferred.
• Knowledge of IMOS/Orion modules and integration points with SAP.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving SAP and IMOS/Orion related issues.
• Experience in gathering requirements, conducting workshops, and providing solution design.
Job Specific Skills:
• SAP S/4HANA Functional Integration. Strong expertise in SAP modules (Finance, Supply Chain, ARIBA) and their integration with external systems.
• ERP System Interoperability. Hands-on experience in integrating multi-ERP environments (SAP with IMOS and Orion).
• Legacy System Transition. Proven ability in managing system decommissioning, cutover planning, and data migration from legacy platforms such as Danaos.
• API and Data Mapping. Skilled in resolving interface issues, managing data flows, and aligning system structures through APIs and integration layers.
• Project Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement. Able to manage cross-functional teams, coordinate between vendors and business units, and drive issue resolution.
• Testing & Quality Assurance. Competent in managing test case creation, validation cycles, and defect tracking until resolution.
• Hypercare & Go-Live Support. Capable of developing and executing structured hypercare plans with clear escalation and support pathways.
• Documentation & SOP Development. Experienced in creating and maintaining SOPs, process flows, test scripts, and signed-off functional documents.
• ERP Governance & Reporting. Familiar with project reporting standards, RAID logs, and preparing executive updates and dashboards.
Frameworks & Authority:
• Reports directly to the Senior Manager | Operation Technology and works in close coordination with the finance , Operations, Supply Chain, and Technical departments.
• Authorized to coordinate integration-related activities across SAP, IMOS, Orion, and Danaos, including vendor and SME engagement.
• Empowered to escalate integration risks, recommend corrective actions, and validate deliverables before system sign-off.
• Works within the ERP Project Governance structure, aligning with project management methodologies, IT governance policies, and corporate change management processes.
• Acts as the primary integration liaison with SAP, IMOS, and Orion vendors for technical, functional, and timeline alignment.
