Snack Production Line Operator (Fried Chips / Extruder)

Job Purpose:

To operate and monitor fried chips and extruder snack production lines, ensuring efficient production, consistent product quality, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires hands-on experience in troubleshooting production issues and accurately calculating material quantities.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operation

• Operate and monitor extruder machines and oil frying production lines.
• Adjust temperature, pressure, line speed, and frying time according to specifications.
• Monitor expansion, shaping, cutting, and frying processes to ensure consistent quality.
• Perform continuous quality checks during production.

Production Cycle Knowledge

• Full understanding of the production cycle from raw material intake to packaging.
• Prepare mixes (corn powder/dough) according to approved formulas and ratios.
• Coordinate with packaging teams to maintain continuous production flow.
• Follow daily production plans and schedules.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

• Identify and address production issues such as:
• Poor expansion
• Color variation
• Excess oil absorption
• Product breakage
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Report major technical issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Minimize waste and improve line efficiency.

Quantity & Material Control

• Calculate and control raw material quantities per batch.
• Monitor oil consumption and production losses.
• Record daily production output and material usage.
• Ensure final product weight and portion accuracy.

Quality & Safety

• Comply with food safety and hygiene standards (GMP, HACCP).
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and production areas.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in snack or chips manufacturing.
• Proven experience operating extruder machines.
• Solid knowledge of industrial oil frying processes.
• Ability to read and follow production instructions.
• Good numerical skills for quantity and ratio calculations.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
