SNF Billing Manager for Third Party Medical Billing Company

Job Summary
The SNF Billing Manager is responsible for managing the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) revenue cycle related to accounts receivable, billing operations, and reimbursement processes. This role ensures accurate claim submission, effective denial management, and timely collections from insurance payers, government programs, and patients. The manager supervises AR billing staff, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Cycle & AR Management

Oversee all snf accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, payment posting, and reconciliation.
Monitor aging reports and AR metrics to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims.
Manage follow-up processes for commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and patient balances.
Identify trends in denials, underpayments, and delayed reimbursements and implement corrective actions.

Billing & Claims Processing

Ensure accurate claim generation and submission for laboratory services using CPT/HCPCS codes and appropriate modifiers.
Maintain compliance with payer policies, medical necessity requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Coordinate corrections and resubmissions of rejected or denied claims.
Work closely with coding teams to ensure proper coding practices.

Denial Management

Develop and maintain strategies for denial prevention and resolution.
Analyze denial patterns and implement root-cause corrective actions.
Ensure timely appeal submission for denied claims.

Staff Leadership & Supervision

Supervise and mentor AR billing specialists, collectors, and reimbursement analysts.
Assign workloads, monitor productivity, and conduct performance evaluations.
Train staff on snf billing regulations, payer policies, and internal procedures.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
