Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SOC Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The SOC Analyst will be responsible for monitoring security systems, identifying potential threats, analyzing security incidents, and responding to cybersecurity events to protect the organization’s infrastructure, systems, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools and security platforms.
• Investigate suspicious activities, security breaches, and potential threats.
• Perform incident detection, analysis, containment, and escalation.
• Analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection systems.
• Document incidents, findings, and response actions accurately.
• Conduct threat intelligence research and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to improve security posture.
• Assist in developing and maintaining security policies and procedures.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly security reports.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, or ArcSight.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
• Experience with incident response and threat analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts if required.

Preferred Certifications:

• CompTIA Security+
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• Cisco CyberOps Associate
• CySA+
• GIAC Certifications

Experience:

• Fresh to 2 years of experience for Junior SOC Analyst roles.

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 rotational shift environment (if applicable).
• On-site / Hybrid / Remote based on company policy.
