- Manage the day-to-day publishing calendar and oversee real-time social coverage of trending moments, pop culture events, and brand tentpoles.
- Write culturally fluent, witty, and on-brand captions that elevate every post and reflect the voice of Complex.
Content Curation & Creation
- Curate the best of regional and global youth culture content for distribution across platforms
- Collaborate with editorial, video, and design teams to adapt and optimize content for social media.
- Source, pitch, and package reactive content and develop a network of collaborators that taps into breaking trends and viral moments across fashion, music, sneakers, sports, and lifestyle.
Community Manager
- Monitor audience conversations and actively engage with followers to foster community and loyalty.
- Respond to cultural moments in real-time and maintain a strong, consistent brand voice across all platforms
- Work with influencers, creators, and fans to amplify brand visibility and sentiment organically.
Data & Performance Insights
- Track social analytics daily and weekly to understand what s working and why.
- Prepare performance reports and provide actionable recommendations based on insights.
- Optimize posting times, formats, and frequency to maximize reach, engagement, and follower growth.
Platform Development & Experimentation
- Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging formats, and algorithm changes.
- Continuously test new content formats (Reels, Stories, Shorts, Threads, carousels) to find what connects with the audience
- Contribute to social-first series concepts and brand campaigns, aligned with Complex s editorial and commercial goals.
