Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

Hillandale Golf Course is a beloved public golf course with deep roots in the local community. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, walkable layout, and loyal group of regulars, Hillandale serves golfers of all skill levels, from beginners picking up the game for the first time to seasoned players who know every break on the greens.

More than just a place to play, Hillandale is a community hub. It’s where junior clinics spark a lifelong love of golf, tournaments bring people together, and everyday rounds turn into lasting friendships. Our team takes pride in creating an approachable, inclusive golf experience while maintaining a course people are proud to call their home course.

We’re at a point where we want our digital presence to reflect the energy, character, and authenticity of the course itself, and that’s where this you come in.

Duties:

Marketing & Customer Communication

  • Create, schedule, and send newsletters and promotional emails
  • Manage posts on all social media platforms
  • Maintain website updates as necessary
  • Maintain and segment the customer email list to support targeted, relevant communication
  • Ensure all messaging reflects a professional, friendly, and brand-aligned voice

On-Site Integration & Events

  • Stay connected to daily operations and customer needs with weekly time in the pro shop
  • Assist with merchandising, signage updates, and posting physical promotional materials
  • Capture and produce marketing content

Must Haves:

  • Part-time availability (approximately 20–30 hours per week)
  • Ability to work one designated pro shop day per week
  • Weekend availability for tournaments and special events (approximately 16 per year)
  • Flexible schedule to support on-course content capture
  • Ability to work remotely for editing and posting once expectations and communication rhythms are established
  • Experience managing social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook are critical)
  • Strong photography and videography skills; comfortable using DSLR-style cameras
  • Basic video editing and graphic design skills (Canva)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team goals
  • Comfort interacting with customers and learning golf culture
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Communicates clearly, proactively, and professionally
  • Receptive to feedback and comfortable working within a structured workflow
  • Understands the purpose behind their work and strives to elevate the business
  • Creative, but grounded in strategy and collaboration

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with additional social platforms beyond core channels
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Klaviyo, or Mailchimp
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Understanding of golf terminology, etiquette, and culture
  • Experience in digital advertising (Meta or Google)

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
