This Dubai-based role supports a remote health and public health program in the Pacific Island nation of Nauru. Our work focuses on delivering quality care and building stronger healthcare systems. From our base in Dubai, we provide strategic and communications support to ensure our mission is visible, impactful, and trusted.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Social Media & Communications Specialist to manage our digital presence and external communications. In this role, you will be responsible for elevating our visibility across media channels, ensuring our healthcare initiatives in Nauru are represented with clarity, professionalism, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence across platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, etc.).
  • Develop and schedule engaging healthcare-related content tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, news updates, and official statements.
  • Support website content creation and updates to reflect program activities and health initiatives in Nauru.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to highlight program achievements and milestones.
  • Monitor global and regional healthcare media trends to identify opportunities for engagement.
  • Track performance metrics and provide insights to refine communications strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in social media or content creation (healthcare or public health experience strongly preferred).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with an ability to communicate complex health topics clearly.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools and scheduling platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Based in Dubai with an interest in supporting international public health programs.
