Social Media Content Editor (Short-Form Video Specialist)

Job Overview
We’re looking for a fast, creative, and detail-oriented video editor to turn raw, behind-the-scenes footage into high-performing social media content.

This role is focused on editing short-form video content for:

• TikTok
• Instagram Reels
• Facebook
• YouTube Shorts

You’ll be working directly with a business owner who runs multiple growing brands in food, events, and e-commerce — helping document and scale the story through content.

Duties

• Edit raw video footage into engaging short-form content (15–60 seconds)
• Add captions, hooks, and on-screen text to increase retention
• Identify and cut viral-worthy moments from longer videos
• Format videos for multiple platforms (TikTok, IG Reels, Shorts)
• Add music, transitions, and pacing that match current trends
• Repurpose one video into multiple pieces of content
• Organize and manage video files efficiently
• Collaborate on content ideas and improvements
• Schedule or prepare content for posting (optional)

Skills

• Experience editing short-form content for TikTok / Reels / Shorts
• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, and retention
• Ability to identify engaging moments in raw footage
• Familiarity with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar
• Ability to add captions and text overlays (VERY important)
• Organized and able to manage multiple files/projects
• Fast turnaround time
