Social Media Content Specialist

Social Media Content Creator (On-Site Events & Hospitality)

We are seeking a Social Media Content Creator to capture and publish engaging content for a growing hospitality and entertainment company with multiple venues in the Cincinnati area.

This role focuses on creating real-time social media content during events, programming, and peak hours. The position works closely with an external marketing agency that provides the overall strategy, content framework, and posting guidelines. The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for capturing authentic moments on-site and publishing content within that structure.

This is an in-person role that requires regular evening and weekend availability to cover scheduled events and programming.

Responsibilities

  • Capture photo and video content during events, programming, and busy operating hours
  • Post social media content according to the schedule and framework provided by the marketing agency
  • Create short-form videos, stories, and reels for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Highlight guest experiences, events, promotions, and venue atmosphere through engaging content
  • Edit photos and videos for social media using common editing tools
  • Maintain an organized library of photos and videos for future marketing use
  • Coordinate with internal staff and the marketing agency to ensure proper event coverage
  • Ensure all content follows brand guidelines and messaging provided by the marketing team
  • Monitor comments and engagement during active posting periods and flag important interactions
  • Stay aware of social media trends and capture content opportunities during live events

Qualifications

  • Experience creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
  • Strong photography and short-form video skills
  • Ability to edit content using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar apps
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced hospitality or event environments
  • Ability to capture engaging real-time content during live events
  • Strong organizational skills for managing media files and content assets
  • Ability to follow established brand guidelines and marketing direction

Schedule Expectations

  • Must be available for evening and weekend shifts during events and programming
  • Some weekday hours may be required for content capture and coordination
  • Schedule will be provided in advance based on event programming

Preferred Experience

  • Hospitality, entertainment, or event venue content creation
  • Experience covering live events for social media
  • Photography or videography background

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
