Social Media Coordinator

Job Description:

Boiling Point is seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media Coordinator to join our team. This role supports the planning, creation, scheduling, and management of social media content across a variety of client accounts. The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of experience in social media, marketing, content coordination, or a related role and understands how to balance creativity with consistency, deadlines, and client expectations.

This position plays an important role in helping clients maintain a strong online presence through thoughtful content planning, community engagement, campaign support, and day-to-day social media execution. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with account managers, creative teams, digital teams, and clients to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with each client’s marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management + Scheduling:
  • Manage and schedule social media content across multiple client accounts.
  • Assist with the development of monthly social media calendars, including captions, post themes, content ideas, and campaign messaging.
  • Ensure posts are scheduled accurately and published on time across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
  • Monitor client social platforms for engagement opportunities, comments, messages, and brand consistency.
  • Support community engagement by interacting with audiences in a professional and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Maintain organized records of scheduled content, approvals, edits, and posting requirements.
  • Content Creation + Campaign Support:
  • Write social media captions that are clear, engaging, and aligned with each client’s brand voice.
  • Assist with creative concepts for seasonal campaigns, promotions, events, holidays, and special offers.
  • Coordinate with the design, video, and production teams to request or organize needed creative assets.
  • Upload, organize, and manage social media assets, including photos, graphics, videos, reels, and short-form content.
  • Support TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video posting for select client accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve social content based on platform trends, client goals, and audience engagement.
  • Client + Internal Communication:
  • Work closely with account managers and internal teams to gather information, confirm content details, and meet posting deadlines.
  • Assist with client communication related to social media content, approvals, revisions, and scheduling needs.
  • Track feedback and make updates to social media calendars or posts as needed.
  • Participate in internal planning meetings and contribute ideas for content, campaigns, and engagement strategies.
  • Help ensure all social media deliverables are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Reporting + Performance Support
  • Assist with gathering social media performance data for client reporting.
  • Monitor basic performance metrics such as reach, engagement, clicks, video views, follower growth, and content interaction.
  • Provide insight into what types of content are performing well and where adjustments may be needed.
  • Support the preparation of monthly reports, social media recaps, and performance summaries.
  • General Marketing Support
  • Assist with basic website, blog, email, or digital content updates as needed.
  • Support special marketing projects, promotional campaigns, and internal initiatives.
  • Help maintain consistency across client digital platforms and marketing materials.
  • Provide flexible support to the marketing, digital, and account teams as priorities shift.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in social media, marketing, content coordination, communications, or a related role.
  • Experience managing or scheduling content for business or client social media accounts preferred.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Understanding of major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Ability to write in different brand voices and adjust messaging based on client needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts, deadlines, and content calendars at once.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite required; familiarity with social media scheduling platforms, Canva, Meta Business Suite, or project management tools is a plus.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
