Overview

OT Breaks is seeking a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to help grow our brand across TikTok, Instagram, Whatnot, Facebook, and other digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone with strong graphic design ability, a good understanding of social media trends, and knowledge of sports cards, sports, Pokémon, collectibles, and live-commerce culture.

The Social Media Coordinator will help create, schedule, and manage content that increases brand awareness, drives customer engagement, and supports our live shows, product drops, promotions, giveaways, and community growth.

Responsibilities

Develop, create, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Whatnot, and other relevant channels.

Capture, organize, and edit short-form videos, livestream clips, product highlights, behind-the-scenes content, promotional posts, customer reactions, and community-focused content.

Design high-quality graphics, thumbnails, flyers, promotional visuals, story posts, product graphics, giveaway posts, and branded content using tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CapCut, or similar platforms.

Use knowledge of sports cards, sports, Pokémon, collectibles, athletes, teams, products, releases, and hobby trends to create content that feels authentic and relevant to our audience.

Monitor comments, messages, tags, mentions, and customer conversations while responding professionally and helping maintain a positive brand presence.

Assist with planning social media campaigns around live shows, product launches, new inventory, special events, giveaways, promotions, and major sports or collectible-related moments.

Track basic content performance such as engagement, views, follower growth, shares, comments, and overall audience response to help improve future content.

Stay current on TikTok, Instagram Reels, short-form video trends, sports card trends, Pokémon releases, hobby news, and social media content styles.

Work with the team to ensure all content matches the company’s brand, tone, visual style, and customer experience standards.

Proofread captions, graphics, and posts for accuracy, spelling, grammar, product details, and brand consistency before publishing.

Support influencer, creator, and community engagement opportunities when needed.

Experience

Experience managing social media accounts, creating content, or working in digital marketing is preferred.

Above-average graphic design skills with the ability to create clean, eye-catching, professional visuals.

Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, short-form video, trends, and online community engagement.

Knowledge of sports cards, Pokémon, sports, athletes, teams, collectibles, live selling, auctions, or hobby culture is strongly preferred.

Experience creating promotional graphics, thumbnails, flyers, social posts, branded visuals, or product-based content.

Basic video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Canva, or similar platforms.

Ability to write clean, engaging captions and promotional copy that fits the brand’s voice.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, live events, product drops, and daily content needs.

Strong attention to detail, organization, creativity, and communication skills.

Ability to take sports, Pokémon, and collectible-related knowledge and turn it into creative, engaging content for our audience.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is creative, reliable, trend-aware, and highly capable with graphic design. They should understand how to make content that looks professional while still feeling natural and engaging on social media.

This person should have a genuine interest in sports, sports cards, Pokémon, collectibles, and live-commerce culture. They should be able to use that knowledge to create content that connects with our audience, highlights key products, follows relevant trends, and helps grow the OT Breaks brand across multiple platforms.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
