Jr Social Media Coordinator

Jr. Social Media Coordinator (Entry-Level, Growth Track)

Location: In-person – Lithia, FL (Tampa Bay area)
Company: Sexton & Co. Marketing
Status: Full-time

About Sexton & Co.

Sexton & Co. is a performance marketing agency for brands that live in the fast lane — automotive, powersports, marine, and other “veins-filled-with-race-gas” industries.

We help companies sell what people want, not what they need: faster cars, nastier builds, rowdier trucks, boats and bikes that absolutely rip. Our clients hire us to engineer revenue, not “post on social.”

We’re building a team of A-players who want to own outcomes, move fast, and be part of a growing agency — not just punch a clock. This is a leveling-up environment: continued education, sharpening your skills, and actively getting better is a must-do for everyone on the team.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Jr. Social Media Coordinator who is hungry to learn, ready to create, and obsessed with performance — both on the screen and under the hood.

In this role, you’ll execute high-volume, high-quality organic social content that supports both the Sexton & Co. brand and our clients. You’ll work inside a pod alongside Account Managers, Media Buyers, and Editors to keep feeds active, on-brand, and growing.

This is a fast-paced, entry-level role with a clear growth track. You won’t be running paid ads yet, but your work will directly drive reach, awareness, and lead generation for performance-focused brands.

If you love content, move fast, and get excited about cars, trucks, bikes, boats, and all things horsepower, this is your starting grid.

What You’ll Own (Outcomes, Not Just Tasks)

You will be directly responsible for:

  • Daily Content Volume & Consistency
  • Hitting high daily posting volume across platforms without sacrificing quality
  • Keeping assigned accounts active and on-brand every single day
  • Reach & Engagement Support
  • Driving 10K–15K+ daily reach across accounts through consistent, strategic publishing
  • Supporting top-of-funnel attention, awareness, and community growth
  • Content Pipeline & Readiness
  • Maintaining a steady pipeline of ready-to-post content so the team is never scrambling
  • Ensuring assigned content is ready 7+ days in advance
  • Execution Support for the Senior SMC & Pod
  • Helping with scheduling, prep, and organization across accounts
  • Making it easier for the Senior Social Media Coordinator and Account Managers to focus on strategy and optimization

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Content Creation & Publishing

  • Create and publish 15+ organic posts per day across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms (mix of graphics, photos, short-form video, carousels, etc.)
  • Write clean, clear, engaging captions tailored to each brand’s voice and audience
  • Post stories daily for each assigned client and the Sexton & Co. brand

Scheduling & Pipeline Management

  • Use tools like Meta Business Suite / Creator Studio (and others as needed) to schedule posts ahead of time
  • Maintain a minimum 7-day buffer of approved, ready-to-post content for assigned accounts
  • Keep content, assets, and drafts organized so the team always knows what’s going out next

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track basic performance metrics (reach, impressions, saves, shares, profile visits, link clicks) for assigned posts
  • Report weekly on what’s working, what’s not, and content ideas we should test next
  • Bring simple, data-backed observations to your Senior SMC and Account Manager

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with the Senior Social Media Coordinator to execute the content plan for Sexton & Co. and client accounts
  • Support Account Managers by ensuring content is ready for key campaigns, launches, and promotions
  • Participate in internal meetings, content reviews, and planning sessions as needed

Onboarding & Skill Development

  • Complete required onboarding materials, reading, and skills reviews
  • Actively participate in coaching sessions, feedback loops, and monthly planning
  • Take responsibility for your own learning — new features, trends, formats, and platform updates

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

You’re winning in this role if:

  • You consistently publish 15+ organic posts per day across assigned accounts
  • Stories go out daily on all assigned accounts (clients + Sexton & Co.)
  • Your accounts routinely hit 10K–15K+ daily reach across platforms
  • 100% of assigned content is ready to go at least 7 days in advance
  • At least 95% of your tasks are delivered on time
  • You participate fully in onboarding, reading, skills reviews, and coaching sessions
  • Your Senior SMC and Account Manager can rely on you without chasing you

You’re not just “busy” — you’re moving the numbers and making life easier for the rest of the pod.

What You’ll Learn

In this role, you’ll gain:

  • Real-world experience in content strategy and execution for performance brands
  • Hands-on experience using Meta Business Suite, Creator Studio, and other tools at scale
  • How to read performance data and spot trends that inform better content
  • How a high-performance marketing pod operates (Account Manager, Media Buyer, Editor, SMC, etc.)
  • Weekly coaching and monthly planning rhythms that help you level up fast
  • A clear promotion path:
  • Jr. Social Media Coordinator → Social Media Coordinator (Sr.) → Social Media Manager

What You Bring

  • Able to write clean, clear, engaging captions without needing heavy editing
  • Consistent, reliable, and fast — you take deadlines seriously
  • Real interest, knowledge or passion for performance, engines, racing, off-road, or action-driven brands
  • Coachable, curious, and willing to learn from feedback
  • Aligned with and willing to live our core values daily: Ownership, Ingenuity, Client-Wins, Excellence, Drive, Transparency

  • Experience working from a content calendar or following brand guidelines

Personal Traits That Win Here

  • You show up on time and prepared — every day
  • You take pride in getting things done, not just talking about them
  • You ask questions when you’re unsure, instead of guessing and disappearing

  • You don’t make excuses; you own mistakes, fix them, and move on
