Overview
The Social Media Director is a high-level strategic role responsible for shaping our brand's voice and driving massive community growth across all digital platforms. This individual will bridge the gap between creative storytelling and hard data, ensuring that every piece of content from high-production reels to "scrappy" community interactions translates into measurable brand equity and sales velocity.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with long-term business goals, focusing on aggressive market share expansion and viral growth.
- Content Innovation: Oversee the production of thumb-stopping visual content, including short-form video (Reels/TikTok), emerging tech integrations (AI/VR), and high-impact photography.
- Platform Management: Direct the brand’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and emerging social commerce platforms like TikTok Shop to optimize conversion and retail visibility.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze performance metrics and consumer sentiment to pivot strategies in real-time, ensuring a high ROI on both organic and paid social spend.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with design and branding teams to ensure social content complements physical packaging and retail presence, maintaining a "pop on the shelf" mentality across the digital landscape.
- Community & Influencer Ecosystem: Build and manage a network of creators and brand advocates to amplify reach and foster an authentic, highly engaged community.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 7+ years in social media marketing or digital strategy, ideally with a background in high-growth consumer goods (CPG) or lifestyle brands.
- Platform Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Meta, TikTok Shop, and social listening tools.
- Creative Eye: A strong pulse on internet culture and the ability to identify "the next big thing" before it hits the mainstream.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in translating complex data into actionable insights that drive sales and engagement.
- Communication: Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to adapt brand voice for various demographics and platform nuances.
