Social Media Growth & Engagement Specialist

As a Social Media Growth & Engagement Specialist, you will take full ownership of social media growth initiatives. You will be responsible for increasing our followers, engagement rates, and content visibility through organic and paid strategies. This role requires both creativity and analytical skill to craft effective campaigns, leverage platform algorithms, and convert attention into sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement tailored growth strategies for each social media platform.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to understand industry benchmarks and identify gaps.
  • Establish and meet clear monthly growth KPIs (e.g., follower count, engagement rate, video views).

2. Content Optimization & Virality

  • Collaborate with creative teams to guide content production aligned with algorithmic preferences and trending formats.
  • Identify and use trending sounds, hashtags, challenges, and content formats to gain visibility.
  • A/B test content types and posting schedules to find high-performing patterns.

3. Audience Building & Community Engagement

  • Manage daily interactions: respond to comments, engage in DMs, reply to story responses, and like/follow back where strategically appropriate.
  • Create interactive content (polls, quizzes, Q&As, lives) to strengthen community bonds.
  • Build engagement sequences and campaigns to convert followers into brand ambassadors.

4. Analytics, Reporting & Performance Review

  • Track, monitor, and report on follower growth, impressions, engagement, reach, and conversions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on progress toward goals.
  • Use insights to adjust strategies and content focus regularly.

5. Campaign Management & Paid Promotion (Optional but Preferred)

  • Run paid ad campaigns on Instagram and TikTok for follower and engagement growth.
  • Analyze ad performance metrics and adjust targeting, creatives, and placements for better ROI.

6. Influencer Collaborations & Partnerships

  • Identify and approach micro and macro influencers for cross-promotion, shoutouts, or partnerships.
  • Negotiate terms, manage relationships, and track ROI from influencer activities.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in social media growth, preferably with personal or client accounts on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube that grew to over 100K followers.
  • Strong portfolio or case studies showing measurable success.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in social media management tools: Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, Sprout Social, or similar.
  • Skilled in analytics tools: Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of SEO for social media, including hashtags, captions, keywords, and metadata optimization.
  • Familiar with AI-based growth tools like ChatGPT for content prompts, Copy.ai, or Jasper.
  • Experience with basic graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe after effects, Adobe Premiere Rush, InShot, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Familiarity with TikTok Creator Marketplace and Meta Creator Studio.
  • Optional: Experience in running paid ads (Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads).
