We have a proven track record of converting social media buzz into massive business growth—notably our record-shattering March 2025 issue with Adam and The Metal Hawks and our high-engagement April 2025 campaign with Ha*Ash. From Carin León to James Johnston, we sit at the center of global music culture, and we are looking for a visionary intern to help drive our next chapter.

The Role

This is a unique "360-degree" internship. You won’t just be posting to a feed; you will be toggle-switching between Music Distribution (working directly with artists) and Media Journalism (covering red carpets and breaking news).

Key Responsibilities

  • Artist & Label Relations: Work directly with recording artists across all genres and languages to capture and co-create social content for their releases.
  • Event Coverage: Attend concerts, festivals, and red carpets (including the GRAMMYs, Latin GRAMMYs, and Billboard Awards) to capture high-energy BTS footage and "breaking news" updates.
  • Content Strategy: Assist in scheduling and creating content for RYM Magazine’s Instagram and TikTok, aligning with our editorial calendar and cover stories.
  • Graphic Design: Create professional-grade graphics for digital features and artist distribution assets.
  • Analytics & Growth: Track and report on key metrics (reach, views, link taps) to replicate the success of our record-breaking 2025 campaigns.
  • News Analysis: Monitor industry trends to create "breaking news" content, analyzing stories within the music industry for our digital audience.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in Los Angeles or Orange County to attend local events, red carpets, and studio sessions.
  • Social Fluency: Understanding of TikTok and Instagram algorithms/trends.
  • Creative Skills: Proficiency in mobile video editing (CapCut/InShot) and basic graphic design.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus given our diverse artist roster.
  • Professionalism: Ability to remain professional in high-pressure environments (backstage, VIP events, and award shows).
  • Equipment: Light, and Laptop/Desktop
