Role Overview
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the organization’s presence across social media platforms. The role focuses on building engagement, maintaining brand voice, and supporting campaign objectives through consistent and data-driven content.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage day-to-day social media activities across Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Create monthly content calendars aligned with campaign goals and communication strategy
- Coordinate with graphic designers, video editors, and content writers for timely delivery of posts
- Write clear captions, hashtags, and basic ad copies as per platform requirements
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions, and respond in a professional manner
- Track performance metrics such as reach, engagement, impressions, and follower growth
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations
- Manage paid social media campaigns in coordination with the digital marketing team
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and government communication norms (where applicable)
- Stay updated with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field
- Proven experience handling social media accounts for brands, agencies, or government projects
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools
- Basic knowledge of paid advertising and campaign optimization
- Good writing and communication skills in English and Hindi (Punjabi is a plus, if relevant)
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines efficiently
Preferred Experience
- Experience in social sector, IEC campaigns, or government communication projects
- Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms
- Experience working with multimedia content and short-form videos

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
