Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Manage and grow social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)
- Create compelling content including graphics, videos, stories, and captions
- Monitor trends, social conversations, and relevant news to ensure timely engagement
- Build and nurture online community relationships
- Track analytics and prepare monthly performance reports
- Collaborate with fundraising and program teams to support campaigns and events
- Manage paid social media campaigns (if applicable)
- Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts (NGO or nonprofit experience preferred)
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite)
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.)
- Understanding of analytics tools and performance metrics
- Passion for social impact and alignment with our mission
