About Us
We're a growing landscape company specializing in [design, installation, maintenance, hardscaping, etc.]. Our work speaks for itself in the field—now we want it to speak just as loudly online. Our current social media and digital presence doesn't reflect the quality of what we do, and we're looking for someone to change that.
The Role
We're hiring a Social Media Manager to build and run our online presence across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, and more). You'll be responsible for creating content, growing our audience, and turning our day-to-day projects into a steady stream of engaging posts that attract new customers.
This is a hands-on, build-from-the-ground-up role. We're looking for someone with real experience who can hit the ground running, but who's also eager to keep learning and grow with us as the role expands.
What You'll Do
- Plan, create, and schedule content across all social media platforms
- Capture and produce photo and video content on-site—including before/after project transformations, time-lapses, and team spotlights
- Develop and execute a content calendar built around seasonal services (spring cleanups, planting, fall prep, snow/winter services, etc.)
- Design branded graphics and edit video that stays consistent with our look and voice
- Write clear, professional captions and copy free of errors
- Manage and grow our engagement: respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely, professional way
- Run and optimize paid advertising campaigns (Facebook/Instagram and others) with clear, measurable goals
- Improve our local SEO and Google Business Profile so we show up when people search for landscaping in our area
- Monitor brand reputation, industry trends, and competitor activity
- Track performance with analytics tools and report on what's working and what's not
- Collaborate with the owner/team to align content with current promotions, projects, and business goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing, with a portfolio of successful campaigns
- Proficiency with content creation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and the broader Creative Suite, plus video editing software
- Familiarity with social media management and listening platforms like Hootsuite or Buffer for scheduling and monitoring brand reputation and trends
- Knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, and web analytics tools including Google Analytics
- Experience managing paid advertising campaigns on Facebook and other platforms, with measurable results
- Strong graphic design skills and an eye for branding consistency across all content types
- Excellent proofreading skills for clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all communications
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once
- A valid driver's license (you'll be traveling to job sites to capture content)
- Willing and open to learn, with the experience to back it up
Nice to Have
- Photography and videography experience, especially outdoors
- Experience in landscaping, construction, home services, or a related trade
- Familiarity with email marketing and basic website updates (e.g., WordPress)
- Drone photography experience
