GENTLE GIANTS DRAFT HORSE RESCUE
Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue is seeking a creative and mission-driven storyteller to join our team as a Social Media & Digital Content Curator. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about animal welfare and has a knack for creating compelling digital content that inspires, educates, and engages animal lovers worldwide.

What You’ll Do:
Social Media Management
- Manage and grow Gentle Giants’ presence across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent storytelling and timely promotion of campaigns, fundraisers, and events.
- Monitor trends, respond to comments/messages, and foster strong community engagement.
- Manage social media ad campaigns, including audience targeting, ad creation, budget tracking, and performance analysis.
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Create engaging content including photos, videos, graphics, and written posts that highlight our rescue horses, adoption success stories, events, impact, and more.
- Design digital graphics, infographics, and short-form video content for campaigns and promotions.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to capture authentic behind-the-scenes moments of daily life at the rescue.
- Join us on the frontline of rescue - document every moment of emergency calls and rescue missions, bringing the intensity, hope, and impact of our work directly to our global audience.
Digital Marketing & Website
- Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with campaigns.
- Implement basic SEO strategies to increase visibility and drive traffic.
- Monitor website analytics and recommend improvements to enhance user experience and engagement.
Email & Campaign Support
- Create and distribute email newsletters and fundraising appeals.
- Support donor and fundraising campaigns with cohesive digital content across platforms.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track performance analytics across social media platforms, website, email, and ad campaigns, and adjust strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences.
- Experience using social media management and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or Later.
- Familiarity with social media advertising platforms, including Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads, and TikTok Ads.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and website content management systems (WordPress or similar).
- Proficiency with graphic design and video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar).
- Comfort with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar.
- Ability to track and analyze digital performance metrics to optimize campaigns and engagement.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for animal welfare and a genuine love of horses!

Benefits & Compensation:
- $200 monthly contribution to a Health Reimbursement Account
- Salary starts at $55,330.24 with annual 5% salary increases plus COLA (COLA percentage determined annually)
- PTO that starts at 80 hours annually and increases to 120 hours on your 1st anniversary and 160 hours on your 3rd anniversary
