This role combines traditional marketing expertise with proficiency in AI technologies for tasks like content generation, data analysis, and automation. Key ResponsibilitiesThe AI social media manager's duties involve integrating human creativity and strategic thinking with AI's data-processing and automation capabilities.

  • Strategy Development: Design comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business objectives, using AI to research audience preferences, track trends, and benchmark against competitors.
  • Content Creation & Curation: Use generative AI tools to create, edit, and publish engaging text, image, and video content daily across various platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Automation & Scheduling: Automate content scheduling at AI-optimized times for maximum engagement, manage content calendars, and streamline workflows using AI-powered management tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite).
  • Engagement & Community Management: Monitor mentions and customer inquiries, using AI chatbots or AI-assisted response recommendations to provide timely customer service and foster community engagement.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Utilize AI-powered analytics to track key metrics (engagement rate, reach, ROI), interpret complex data, and make data-driven decisions to refine future campaigns.
  • Advertising & Lead Generation: Plan and optimize targeted paid social media campaigns using AI for ad placement, audience targeting, and A/B testing of ad creatives to generate qualified leads.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay current with the latest AI tools, social media trends, and algorithm changes, using AI social listening tools to identify emerging opportunities and adapt strategies in real time.

Required Skills & QualificationsA successful AI social media manager possesses a blend of traditional marketing skills and technical AI knowledge. Hard Skills:

  • AI Tool Proficiency: Experience with AI content generators (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper), image generation tools (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E), and AI-enhanced social media management platforms.
  • Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok, including their specific algorithms and best practices.
  • Analytics & SEO: Proficiency in using tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite to interpret data, measure performance, and optimize content for search visibility.
  • Content Creation: Strong copywriting and visual design skills, with experience using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
