Social Media Manager and Content Creator

Breakaway Cafe is looking for a creative, organized, and social media-savvy Content Creator/Social Media Manager to help grow our online presence through engaging photo and video content.

We're looking for someone local to the Los Angeles/Westside area who understands current social media trends and knows how to create content that feels authentic, engaging, and on-brand. You'll be responsible for capturing content during scheduled on-site shoots, editing it into compelling social media assets, and managing the posting schedule across our social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photo and video content during scheduled on-site content shoots.
• Create engaging Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories, and lifestyle content.
• Photograph food, beverages, catering, seasonal promotions, and the overall café experience.
• Edit content into polished, ready-to-post social media assets.
• Write engaging captions that reflect the Breakaway Cafe brand.
• Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
• Work with ownership to develop content calendars, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
• Monitor engagement and provide recommendations to improve reach and performance.
• Stay current with social media trends, viral formats, and platform best practices.

Qualifications

• Must live locally in the Los Angeles / Westside area.
• Experience creating content for businesses, restaurants, cafés, hospitality, or lifestyle brands preferred.
• Strong photography, videography, and editing skills.
• Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, or similar editing software.
• Excellent understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and short-form video content.
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
• Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage deadlines independently.
• Passion for food, coffee, hospitality, and local businesses is a plus.
