Internship Overview

We are looking for a creative, trend-aware, and responsible Social Media Manager Intern who can manage daily social media operations and digital content for The Colaba News24. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about social media, design, short-form video content, and digital storytelling.

You will work closely with the newsroom, reporters, and video team to package news content for Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and update official social media handles (Instagram, YouTube & Facebook)
• Design daily posts, creatives, thumbnails, and banners for news content
• Edit reels, short videos, and social media clips for Instagram & YouTube Shorts
• Upload, schedule, and optimize posts, reels, videos, and stories
• Write engaging captions, hashtags, and basic video descriptions
• Coordinate with reporters and editors to publish breaking news content quickly
• Maintain consistency in branding, tone, and visual identity
• Monitor engagement, comments, and basic performance insights
• Support other digital content requirements as needed

Skills & Requirements

• Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook)
• Ability to design posts using tools like Canva, Photoshop, or similar
• Basic video editing skills for reels/shorts (mobile or desktop tools)
• Understanding of trends, hashtags, reels formats, and audience engagement
• Good Marathi and basic English/Hindi understanding preferred
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks

Eligibility

• Freshers and students are welcome
• Candidates pursuing or completed studies in Media, Digital Marketing, Design, or related fields preferred
• Passion for social media and digital content is essential
