Social Media Manager (Part-Time)

The salary range is listed above. Starting salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

Vance County Cooperative Extension is looking for a part-time Social Media Manager to help us capture the essence of our programs and share them with our community through various social media platforms. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for taking pictures and videos during our programs and events and uploading them weekly to our social media accounts. This role is essential in helping us engage with our community and promote our programs effectively.


Essential Job Functions

  • Attend Vance County Cooperative Extension programs and events to capture high-quality photos and videos.
  • Create engaging and visually appealing content that showcases our programs and activities.
  • Edit photos and videos as necessary to enhance their quality and appeal.
  • Maintain an organized digital library of media assets.
  • Collaborate with our team to create a content calendar and schedule for social media posts.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to ensure our content remains relevant and effective.

Qualifications

  • Photography and videography skills.
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar) or willingness to learn about editing software.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Availability to work part-time, approximately 10 hours per week.
