Social Media Manager (Part-Time, Freelance) - Bridal Studio

Art & Lace is a creative, modern bridal studio in Somerset, Massachusetts that helps brides discover their unique aesthetic identity. We’re not your typical bridal shop—we’ve created The 5 Bridal Aesthetic Realms framework to help overwhelmed brides move beyond Pinterest chaos and find clarity.

We offer:

THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a social media manager who can take the reins on our Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook presence. Our owner/founder is a talented bridal stylist and photographer with TONS of great content—she just needs someone to help her post consistently and strategically.

This is a part-time, ongoing role (not a one-time project). We’re looking for someone who can grow with the business and become an integral part of the team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Content Creation (40% of time):
  • Design graphics in Canva (quote cards, mood boards, aesthetic visuals)
  • Write compelling captions using our brand voice (elegant, thoughtful, not salesy)
  • Repurpose content across platforms (TikTok → Instagram Reels, etc.)
  • Create Stories content (5-10 Stories per day)
  • Posting & Scheduling (25% of time):
  • Post 3-5x per week on Instagram (mix of Reels, carousels, static posts)
  • Cross-post TikToks to Instagram Reels
  • Schedule posts in advance using Meta Business Suite or similar
  • Post to Facebook page (auto-share from IG + occasional custom posts)Engagement (20% of time):
  • Reply to comments on posts (within 24 hours)
  • Respond to DMs (answer questions, be friendly and helpful)
  • Engage with other bridal accounts (stylists, designers, venues)
  • Build community by liking/commenting on relevant posts
  • Video Editing (10% of time):
  • Basic editing of Reels/TikToks (CapCut or similar)
  • Add text overlays, trending audio, simple transitions
  • Keep videos on-brand (elegant, not overly trendy)
  • Strategy & Planning (5% of time):
  • Create monthly content calendar (what to post when)
  • Suggest content ideas based on what’s performing
  • Stay on top of bridal trends (but filter through Art & Lace lens)
  • Monthly check-in with owner to align on goals

WHAT YOU WON’T DO:

  • Film content (owner provides raw footage/photos)
  • Manage paid ads (owner handles Google Ads)
  • Graphic design beyond Canva (no Photoshop/Illustrator needed)
  • Website updates (separate person handles this)

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Must Have:

  • 1-2 years of social media management experience (ideally for a small business or personal brand)
  • Strong understanding of Instagram + TikTok (algorithms, best practices, trends)
  • Canva skills (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Excellent writing skills (captions, storytelling, brand voice)
  • Self-motivated and organized (you manage your own schedule)
  • Responsive communication (reply to messages within 24 hours)
  • Portfolio or examples of social media accounts you’ve managed

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in wedding/bridal industry
  • Photography or aesthetic eye
  • Local to MA/RI (easier for occasional in-person collaboration)
  • Familiarity with bridal content creators/influencers
  • CapCut or basic video editing skills

You’re NOT a fit if:

  • You only post when you feel like it (we need consistency)
  • You use generic hashtags and copy-paste captions
  • You’re not responsive to messages
  • You don’t understand the bridal industry or aesthetic
  • You need heavy hand-holding (we need someone who can run with it)

  • Confirm you’re comfortable with $500-800/month for 10-15 hrs/week

NEXT STEPS:

3. Interview (30-min Zoom call to discuss role, your experience, fit)

4. Paid Trial (1-week paid trial project: $100 for 5 sample posts + captions)

5. Hire (if trial goes well, we’ll formalize the ongoing role

Expected start date: ASAP (ideally within 2-3 weeks)
