Job Summary
The Public Affairs & Marketing Coordinator is primarily responsible to create and execute digital marketing strategies to inform, advertise, and attract public interest. They handle the organization's social media accounts, where they monitor comments and interact with the social media community. They will analyze engagement data, identify trends in community/participants interaction and plan campaigns to build an online presence and connect with the community.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok to boost brand awareness and engagement.
- Proven experience in social media marketing or digital marketing roles with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing software.
- Familiarity with social media management platforms like Hootsuite or Buffer for scheduling and analytics.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices including keyword research and web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Strong understanding of social listening techniques and public relations principles.
- Ability to craft engaging content tailored for diverse audiences across multiple channels.
- Experience managing Facebook Advertising campaigns or similar paid social media initiatives.
- Excellent proofreading skills with an eye for detail in branding consistency and messaging clarity.
- Background in graphic design or photography is a plus; familiarity with web analytics is highly desirable. - Create high-quality content including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts that align with branding guidelines and marketing goals.
- Manage daily social media activities using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer to schedule posts, monitor interactions, and respond promptly to audience inquiries.
- Implement social listening techniques to track brand reputation, industry trends, and competitor activities for actionable insights.
- Optimize content for SEO by conducting keyword research and applying best practices to improve visibility on search engines and social platforms.
- Coordinate with public relations teams to craft press releases, media outreach campaigns, and manage relationship management efforts with key stakeholders.
- Analyze web analytics and social media metrics using Google Analytics and other tools to measure campaign performance and inform future strategies.
- Oversee paid advertising campaigns on Facebook Advertising or other platforms to maximize reach and ROI.
- Collaborate with graphic designers using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for visual content creation that enhances branding efforts.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in digital marketing, social media management, video editing, and e-commerce to keep our strategies fresh and effective.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations with two (2) years of work experience in marketing, website content, or social media platforms to include but not limited to: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, others.
· Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
