Position Overview VerifyLocal.ai is building the world’s first automated reality-verification layer for local commerce. We are looking for a Marketplace Operations Manager to lead our pilot launch in the Greater New Haven area. You will be the primary point of contact for local creators and merchants, bridging the gap between digital content and real-world physical foot traffic.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketplace Seeding & Activation: Execute the city-activation playbook to populate our local graph, converting unclaimed creator and business profiles into active, participating accounts.
• Creator Partnerships: Conduct direct outreach to local creators. You will invite them to claim their profiles, explain our unique Footprint Score-based reputation system, and facilitate their entry into our marketplace.
• Merchant Coordination: Onboard local merchants, guiding them through campaign creation and explaining the campaign retainer and confidence-gated settlement models.
• Operational Feedback: Act as the eyes and ears on the ground, relaying campaign performance and marketplace dynamics to the core development team to refine our AI inference and learning modules.

• AI-Native Execution: You will utilize our proprietary dashboard and deep-research tools to programmatically qualify and activate participants, ensuring a repeatable process that can scale city by city.

Qualifications

• Influencer Ecosystem Expertise: Deep understanding of the local influencer economy, with prior experience connecting creators and businesses.
• First-Hand Experience: Proven track record as an influencer or a manager of creator partnerships, giving you a native understanding of the creator's perspective when evaluating brand deals.
• AI Fluency: Comfortable using AI agents and tools to solve practical problems. You view AI as an extension of your own capabilities, using it to automate research, personalize outreach, and troubleshoot technical platform issues.
• Technical Literacy: Comfortable with high-level technical concepts, specifically the difference between absolute counts and AI-estimated deltas with confidence scores.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to articulate complex economic value propositions—such as escrow and settlement paths—simply and clearly.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are comfortable in a "stealth/pilot" environment and are eager to help build the foundation for a company targeting Series A growth.
