Social Services Manager

Position Description:

In this role, you’ll combine leadership, clinical insight, and advocacy to ensure high-quality services, seamless care coordination, and positive outcomes. What You’ll Do

  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate social services programs to ensure quality, integrity, and effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to social services staff, fostering growth and accountability.
  • Assist individuals served in accessing benefits, community resources, and support services.
  • Maintain professional communication with treatment teams, families, guardians, and community partners.
  • Ensure timely completion and documentation of psychosocial assessments, progress notes, consent forms, and communication logs.
  • Coordinate and provide training for department staff and other team members as needed.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and provide coverage when necessary.
  • Identify and address barriers to discharge; coordinate all aspects of discharge planning.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives to enhance service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university (Required)
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling (Preferred)

Experience

  • Three (3) years of applicable experience in a mental health setting and in the provision of psychiatric services (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), if required by site or state (Preferred)
  • Any client-mandated certifications or training (Required)
