This position may be located anywhere in the state of Oklahoma.

Social Services Specialist

Annual Salary:

• Level I H20A: $36,811.95 + Full State Employee Benefits
• Level II H20B: $39,571.76 + Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Social Services Specialist I

• A Bachelor's Degree
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in professional social work for each year of the required education.

Social Services Specialist II

• A Master's degree;
• OR a Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in professional social work;
• OR an equivalent combination of education and social work, substituting one year of professional social work for each year of the required education.

Job Responsibilities

• Providing social services to clients with intellectual disabilities by assessing needs and determining eligibility for Specialized Foster Care or Agency Companion services. Develops new Specialized Foster Care homes.
• Managing a case load requiring both broad and specialized knowledge of all social service programs, including maintaining contractual compliance of OKDHS-approved specialized foster and companion homes.
• Works alongside Child Welfare and other public and private agencies.
