Job Summary:

The SST Teacher is responsible for teaching Social Studies subjects—including History, Geography, Civics, and Culture—to help students understand social structures, civic responsibilities, and global perspectives. The teacher should foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and awareness of historical and contemporary issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons according to the curriculum.
  • Integrate topics from history, geography, and civics to build comprehensive understanding.
  • Develop lesson plans that promote inquiry-based and participatory learning.
  • Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and presentations.
  • Encourage discussions, debates, and group activities to enhance analytical and civic understanding.
  • Maintain accurate student records and share progress reports with parents and administration.
  • Use maps, visual aids, and technology to support interactive learning.
  • Promote national values, social awareness, and respect for diversity.
  • Collaborate with academic coordinators and other teachers for curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or related field.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at middle or secondary level.
  • Strong command over English and Urdu.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies.
