Role Overview:

Botmer International is looking for a Software & Cloud Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture of Senvers — from backend services and APIs to AWS infrastructure, security, and scalability. This is a hands-on architecture role where you’ll shape technical decisions, guide engineering teams, and ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and future-ready.

What You’ll Do:

Software Architecture

• Design scalable backend architectures (modular monolith / microservices).
• Define service boundaries, APIs, and communication patterns (REST, gRPC, async events).
• Own multi-tenant architecture with strict tenant isolation.
• Drive event-driven workflows (SQS/SNS, async processing).
• Set API standards, versioning, and backward compatibility.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Architect and evolve AWS infrastructure (ECS/Fargate, ALB, S3, RDS, Redis).
• Define Infrastructure as Code standards (Terraform).
• Design high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
• Own CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, OIDC, ECR).
• Implement observability (CloudWatch, logs, metrics, alerts).

Security & Identity

• Design secure auth flows (OAuth2, JWT, MFA, biometric-first login).
• Ensure encryption, audit logging, and compliance-ready design.
• Enforce API security, rate limiting, and best practices.

AI & Async Systems

• Architect AI microservices
• Design async pipelines (S3 → SQS → ECS/Lambda → DB).
• Ensure scalability and reliability of AI workloads.

Leadership

• Act as a technical decision-maker and reviewer.
• Mentor engineers on architecture and best practices.
• Create architecture diagrams, ADRs, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Have

• 6+ years in backend & cloud architecture.
• Strong experience with Node.js (NestJS/Express).
• Deep knowledge of AWS (ECS, ALB, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems & async processing.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform & CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid grasp of security best practices.

Nice-to-Have

• AI/ML or data-processing pipelines.
• Real-time systems (chat, notifications).
• Biometric authentication or advanced identity systems.
• Experience at large scale (10M+ users).
• GDPR / compliance-driven system design.
