Job Role / Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Software Development & Maintenance you will be responsible to Plan and manage multiple modules of a large software implementation project independently through all phases of system implementation life cycle. Work closely with users to help define business requirements, understand the software functionality and generate a detail fit-gap analysis report with design considerations to meet business requirements. Provide guidance and act as a leader to a number of Programmer Analysts in the enhancement and support of existing as well as new ERP modules / systems; carry out feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis and to formulate proposals for system enhancement, and implementation plans and develop and maintain applications systems and project documentation.
Specifically, you will be responsible to;

the scope of work for the position will include University wide i.e. AKU Global ERP operations and expansion, ERP support and implementation within the University and all its affiliates in any country

create and maintain software applications and gain knowledge of the existing applications, both the technical and business aspects

participate in all phases of application development, i.e. study, analysis, design, development, and implementation

develop excellent understanding and application of Data Modelling and Data Analysis Techniques

learn Software Development Tools in use e.g. PeopleTools and People Code

efficiently produce and maintain requirements and application systems documentation
-
participate in quality assurance and testing of products
-
prepare self-development plan in coordination with the immediate supervisor
-
undertake activities for continuous professional development in line with the plan and keep abreast of latest developments in the profession

operate within practices and procedures for smooth functioning of all operational services as per quality standards

liaison with others / Sections /Departments for delivery of the results

work on special assignments given by the Supervisor/Manager.
